The classic Donzi I've been after for years has finally gone up for sale, so I need to sell my current classic to raise the cash:

Early '67 (Dec '66 tag on gas tank) hull #117.
302 Ford 200hp repower w/ 289 hours, Volvo 270 outdrive.
New guages at time of repower.
Original yellow gel on sides has been repainted blue.
Original Rocket trailer has new bearings and tires.
Runs 50 mph (GPS) @ 4600 rpm all day long w/ stock Volvo 15x21 aluminum prop (with a full tank of gas and two slightly overweight adults onboard).
Bought a few years ago in Michigan and used in fresh water since.
Original type Covico steering wheel and upholstered buckets have been added since these pics were taken.

$8,000 firm. Located in NY

Has the boat been sold, or is it still available?

Bumpin' my thread. I've had a couple bites (even had a "foreign bank cashier's check" scam approach me through one of the online boat classified sites), but no serious buyers.
C'mon fellas. I need to pay back the bank of Dad for the V-drive!:)

Folks,

i went to look at this boat for flatracer before he drove 600 miles to pick it up since it was very close to me... it ran flawlessly and had no issues... structurally it was sound, for the money it was a good restoration candidate... I believe he's put more cash into it to bring it back to the way it should be. If you are looking for something of this vintage you'll be hard pressed to find something in a reasonable price range that doesn't need to be taken apart and pain stakingly rebuilt (like my poor barrelback), this boat is at least worth a look for sure...

That's a really pretty boat ...
Years back , Magum made a 53 with the same colour combo . It really works..

I'm bumping my thread again. I've had more than a dozen inquiries but only one guy has actually come to look at it.
This boat has no mechanical bugs or issues and is ready to go for immediate summer fun.
It's also a good candidate for a cosmetic restoration, but it's not neccessary if you'd rather just go ahead and enjoy it.
The price is a lot less than I see being asked for similar boats with tons of issues.

Thanks,
Eric

This boat has been sold. It will soon be on its way to its new home in North Carolina. Thanks, everyone.
