Been thinking about the possibilty of towing south this year to enjoy a little of the Southern Boys warm weather!
But for now facing the possibilty of winter weather soon I spent yesterday setting the Beast up to be easily drained and upped the cooling system anti freeze to 50% from 30%. I was able to install petcocks where needed except for the raw water pump, the darn thing does not have a drain plug. I hope to drill and tap it in place for a petcock the first dry day I dread the thought of pulling it do the deed, in the mean time a little heat in the bilge will hold off any freezing. Anyway for now it will stay semi winterized all but fogged, it will be started and drained weekly untill the Hawk arrives. Hope to grab a few more runs on warm days!
