Anyone else watch Extreme Powerboating last night, channel 216 on Dish Network?

Some good stuff. They talked to Doug Valentine about the ZR boats and the lack of a factory race team this year in the US. From what I remember hearing Donzi pulled the plug on the factory team in the US mainly due to the high costs associated with running the team, decided it was better to let someone else take on the costs since the boats had great exposure from the previous years. Doug did state that last year’s factory Super Vee boat has been running in Europe this year. I wonder how they've done.

They also had an hour long show dedicated to the Catalina Ski Race right after the Powerboat show. Man that was cool. My dad and I went out in a 35 Fountain several years ago with some racers and got to watch as they practiced crazy stuff.

Yep saw it also. They have another show called H20 TV on channel 216. Looks like it is right up our alley.

I have the donzi clip and the water ski race recorded to the dish network DVR. Anyone know how to get video from a DVR onto a PC? This is not a Tivo system by the way. It's the one that comes with Dish Network. I do have a video capture card in the pc and suspect this is what I will have to use. Yet another fun computer project to play with. Once it's on the PC, I can edit the video, take out the commercials, then post it to a website.

Here's the European boat. Looks like it has surface drives now from the pictures. The boat doesn't even say Donzi on it anywhere.

Missed it!

Power boat show has been on every nite. Sponsered by poker runs of America. Set your DVR to record for a few hours every nite. Sooner or later, they will repeat the Donzi part mentioned at the beginning of this thread. The shows have been repeats all week and are all very cool to watch. Lots of commercials however. When viewing the DVR, go into 15x fast forward mode. When you see the red boat with the twin bubble cockpits hit play, then rewind to the beginning to see the beginning of the Donzi section/interview.
