not fast enough

Michael,
My name is Mike and I own a 1996 donzi 27zx with a 502 magnum engine. It has EMI Thunder exhaust and a K&N air filter but is stock otherwise.
Currently I am running a 3 blade 19 pitch mirage prop (not good). It has a great hole shot, but I am more interested in top speed and midrange. I have a brovo 1 outdrive and K-planes. I really don't care (to a point) how slow it is out of the hole but I need more mid and high end punch. What prop do you recommend?
I was thinking a 4 blade 23-26 pitch but I am not sure and don't want to buy one until I have more information.
Currently she will run 40 mph at 4000 rpm and about 60 at 5200 but can easily hit the rev limiter. I was reading an article in an original 1996 test on this boat with the same engine but it had a Brovo III outdrive with 26 pitch props. It ran 48 mph at 4000 rpm and hit 61.1 mph at 5000. I am hoping that with the exhaust and correct prop to hit 63-65 mph.
Any advise would be helpful.
Furthermore, how much speed could I expect by adding a mild whipple blower?
Thanks
Mike
