I am longing for food from Joe Garcias in Fort Worth. Unfortunately, that restuarant is 2000 miles away from me now. Anyways, I would like a GREAT recipe for baked burritos, involving refried beans, hamburger, cheese, and it must be HOT. An oven baked thing if possible after the burrito is "layed up"

Thanx in advance. :)

Lenny,
Burritoes are specialized for a particular taste. Here's what we like:
Large flour tortillas
Brown hamburger with diced onion and chili powder (you can add red or green pepper if you like)
Heat refried beans (you can get them at the store and throw them in a pan)
Want spicey, toss in some diced jalapenoes in the beef and beans
Warm the tortillas in the microwave for 15 secs wrapped in a damp towel
Fill with beans, cheese and meat then roll up
Top with more cheese and enchilada red sauce
Bake until cheese melts
Top with diced lettuce and tomatoes, sour cream and hot sauce
While your at it, make some nachoes.
Enjoy,
Wes

Making burritos out of hamburger sounds more like Taco Bell. I prefer the Carna Asada myself. There are a bunch of recipes out there and I have not tried any of them. There is a little Mexican deli that I have been getting carne asada from for years and I don't think anyone makes it better.

If your looking for hot and spicy try habanero chilies. Other good ones are the serano chilies and new mexico green chilies.

Many this is making me hungry :)
