OK so the 2005 boating season is coming to a close shortly for a majority of aboard members. I have seen some awesome pictures from everybody enjoying their Donzi's and friendships through Donzi ownership.... so I know it's hard to pick just 1 so lets see your absolute 3 favorite pictures that were takin in 2005 that are Donzi related and tell why their your favorites. Only 3! here are mine....

This one because I will never forget that day I spent running the keys with my friends.

The second pic you shared & sorry to get off topic

I beleive that is an SR71...if so the plane still holds the record crossing west coast (Edwards AFB, Ca.) to east Coast (Washington, DC. White House) 58 mins. and change, that sucker cruised in at 4500 mph. or 5.88 mach assuming that Mach One is around 765.6 MPH. The crossing was done when Lyndon Johnson was in the White House.

Of course we just tested another plane earlier this year that was faster (under re-entry) and not powered so in my mind it does not matter the SR71 must have been a real treat to see.

Thanks for sharing,

KJ

It is the first A-12 built for the CIA.
It was faster than the SR71.

In November of 1967, the A-12 and the SR-71 conducted a reconnaissance fly-off to decide which aircraft was superior and worthy to keep. The final choice was the SR-71 but it is still debatable that the A-12 is superior.

The Sr-71 was an amazing plane . Flew faster than the muzzle velocity of a 30:06 rifle and everytime we flew it it got so hot it completely welded itself back together. Used to leak a lot of fuel before takeoff however. I believe there were only 11 of them made.(Officially) Not counting the test subjects somewhere by Groom Lake.

Well, this year saw limited boating time due to the many mechanical problems I had, but I do have 3 pictures to share,....

1) Feeling REALLY comfortable about the boats integrity after beating the hell out of it during the AngelAID poker run - we'll be doing it again next year. Also the first real run since the engine repair - no GPS, but ran good!! Met many great people this weekend and gave a little back to those in need. Met Sweet 16 66, ChromeGorilla, LastTango, CrackerJack, PMReed, BabyDonzi, RickyR.

2) Although it's a picture of being towed back, this is on the way back after the 1st annual South East Florida Fun Run. Finally GPS'd the boat at 59.5 with 4 people on board and full fuel. What a long run and a great day. Met a couple of more great donzi people this day too - Catch 22, and got to run some more with BabyDonzi.

3) The last run we made - after the outdrive repairs. This was at Lake Harris, GPS'd at 61mph with 4 on board and full fuel. Great lunch with great friends. Met even more people today, GCarter, Catch 22 Senior, and met up again with Cuda.

All in all, a great year for me and my Donzi!!
