Prop maintainence!
It is very important to remember to check your props occasionaly.
Check the trailing edge...look for nicks or burs.
Check the Leading Edges for nicks.
Check your hub...look for signs of wearing...small pieces of rubber are not a good sign for those of you with rubber hubs.
Check your hardware: Make sure your tab washer is in good shape...remember this washer keeps your prop nut from backing off in turn keeping your prop on the shaft!
Thrust Washer : Make sure the center hole is not worn and elongated.
These are just a few items to check for to increase the life expectancy of your prop!
I would also add that if you are running a Lab Finished Prop it is even more important to check the condition of your prop! Even small nicks in the Leading edges can quickly lead to stress risers! If you see any of the above mentioned have your prop checked!
