This is way cool. I met this guy building this in Mt. Dora about a year and a half ago..... A replica race boat, this certainly has to be the grand-daddy of the Corsican!

More cool pics like this at: http://www.vintageraceboatshop.com/NHVintageRegatta2005-Photos.htm

I have added this show to my must do list for next year!!

I have added this show to my must do list for next year!!RnR, you mshould try to make it to the Antique Boat Museum in Clayton NY. The 1K Islands. They have an antique race boat regatta every 2 years and its comming in '06. They have "races" in the harbor and at times it can get quite nasty. Last year a passenger flew out of a Jersey Skiff and had to get air lifted to the hospital, some of the folks due run hard. I belive the show is sometime in August. Google "antique boat museum clayton ny" and you can get more info. If you decide to go, book your room early. Ken

I went to Winni event this year on Friday afternoon, lots of very cool boats. Fun to watch, cool sounds. The Jersey Skiffs are crazy sick! Porpoising, bouncing and noisy these guys turn on their chines . . . like a sailboat heeled over, you have got to be half loose to drive one of these.

This event runs every two years and will return in the fall of '07 to Wolfeboro. Fortunately it's off season, between tourist season and foliage, so lodging is readily available. Maybe we ought to do a vintage Donzi event this w/e ???

We could run out of the bay in the waves . . . :)

TOPSY II (a board member) runs a Jersey Skiff out of Atlanta.
He could probably add some insight.
After all, his other boat is a Minx, so he must be quite insane. :banghead: :bonk: :cussball:

It looked familiar and after talking witht he fella we got to the subject of Dora.... well it turns out this was the boat that was running along side of me WFO as Steve (Boatcrazy) was snapping some awesome pics. He remembered running nest to each other cuz he got reall squirrely at the end. BTW...he was faster than me.... that thing is crazy.....
