Ford is recalling 3.8 million vehichles. 1994-2002 F-150's, Navigators, Broncos and Expeditions. Faulty cruise control device can start fires. Even when car is not running.

Why of course!!!!!!!!!!!!! Did you check out the sunburn on the Chevy guy? They had been stuck for 2 days!!! That really sucks.

This '79 has over 300,000 miles; no major repairs; and it still tows my 22C! (It is about used up and I'll have a newer one by next spring)(I'm not anti GM - wouldn't mind having a Corvette)

I belive it's a pressure switch on the brake master that dissengages the
cruise control when you activate the brakes.

A leaky diaphragm causes the brake fluid to ignite.

Jeff, it may be. I do know they said some fires have started from this defect even when vehicle wasnt running. (which is often for a FORD anyway) :biggrin:
