I have a brand new one, never used in a case that I picked up at a garage sale. How do I tell the vintage?

I have 70's vintage 68" "Connolly Hook". It looks like a high end coffee table with a boot  . I have no idea on the value but I used it when I was younger and thiner, it was a great ski at the time.

I've got a 67" Connolly Hook as well, got it for my 13th birthday in 1976, brand new and man was I excited. Needless to say it is not for sale, but will be refinished and look just right on my restored (whenever that happens) '67 Bertram.

I've got one of those sitting in the shed......
Same boot, 68 inches, a little different veneer, and red fibreglass bottom.....

Oh my, what a fine piece of craftsmanship. Other than the pine workbench/cabinets, of course.

Does anyone else mourn the end of fine craftsmanship in recreational products today? The Chinese can never duplicate such a classic ski.
