Guy's any help would be appreciated, I'm looking at a 1995 33ZX with 502EFI's. Any idea what kind of fuel consumption I would be looking at cruising at 40-50 mph? I like the 33 but a 28 with twin small blocks maybe the better option. I hate to get rid of my 18 Classic, but I'm tired of the complaining anytime I take it over 60 (over 70 and she don't talk to me the rest of the day:jestera: ). Any input would be great.

I owned a 2002 33ZX twin 496 HO'S I think at cruising speed 40-50 MPH it burned 22 GPH. The 33's with the BIG blocks are going to burn a lot more fuel than a 28 with small blocks, I would opt for the 28ZX I also owned a 2000 28ZX and loved that boat. The 33 has a 196 gallon tank the 28 has a 92 gallon tank big difference  . The total monthly expenses gas, payment, storage etc between the 33 and 28 if very very different :boggled: the 28 is your better bet IMO especially since you are coming from a 18 classic. Good luck.
