Here is a few shots of the X I picked for the Beast, it has shot peaned gears and HD shafts. The neat thing is the top cap has a heat sink, I have run a fair distance at speed stopped and felt it for temp it runs far cooler then the BH did after a similar run. It also has dual water pickups, which is causing to much pressure in my raw water circuit(soon to be fixed).

Looks promising. Looks shiney too.
Maybe too shiney to get wet often.

Tell us you got a digital camera....pretty please!

MOP, which gear set did you get (ratio) , and are the parts interchangeable with the BRAVOX drive? Shafts/gears etc. Willan IMCO shortie bolt up to it still?

Is this different to an XR or does it contain the same pieces?

Drive Bravo X Diesel

New for 2005 is a redesigned series of Bravo X Diesel drives. Featuring a new cone clutch and the ribbed top that reinforces the steel chimney securing bearings under high load, these drives shift like silk while delivering rock-crushing torque. New graphics and a new, sleek shape to the upper unit highlight the new design.

Reliability

Near-net forged steel gears for strength and durability.
Heavy-duty U-joint reliably transmits monster torque loads.
Reinforced ribbed top cap & steel chimney reliably secure bearings under high load.
XK360 low copper alloy for corrosion resistance.
Tri-Paint System (Irridite, EDP & Powder Paint) creates a tough, durable corrosion resistant barrier.
Armored trim lines protect hydraulic system from debris.
Flow-Torq II Propeller Hub – The “Weekend Saver” protects the entire drive from damage, not just the lower unit.

Performance

Bravo One's performance torpedo & Dual Water Pick-ups that allow high X-Dimensions make it the industry leader for top-speed performance.
Large propellers on Bravo Two maximize lift and thrust for large boats under 45 mph.
Twin props & large rudder area with Bravo Three allows uncompromised handling for single-engine boats up to 65 mph.
Trim limit switch sets drive angle for maximum performance every time.
Through-Prop exhaust maximizes power and reduces noise levels.

Easy Ownership

Drive Lube Monitor – Alarm warns if drive lube is low. Engine mounting allows easy inspection and fill without the cost to pull a boat from the water.
Permalube® U-Joint – No Maintenance Required.
Maintenance Free Hinge Pins – No added cost to pull a boat from the water.
Greaseable Drive Coupler – No added cost to pull a boat from the water.
Greaseable Gimbal Bearing – Do not need to remove the drive for service.

Technology

Power Trim XD® Automatically Returns the Drive to the Water to Maintain Full Control of Boat in Case of an Emergency.
MerCathode® monitors the galvanic potential of the drive and counteracts corrosion with a metered electrical charge providing continuous cathodic protection. •
Engine Guardian System® with MPI engines protects the drive from damage from low lubricant levels.

Lenny sorry I missed some of your question, I got 1.5 that is all that is available through the cheap deal Zinger found. I pulled the shift cover as it was shifting real hard I figured it was like the older bravo's and the Blackhawk, I was going to lube it good so it would shift. Much to my surprise it was totally different the entire shift mechanism is in the gear oil and like mentioned above is quite different. The cone appears to have a much deeper angle, the shifting like I said was horrible for about 6-7 shifts now it is glassy smooth even with the solid hub prop I have on it right now.
