Anybody remember the Triton boats that came out in the Early 80s. I think there are a few manufacturers calling their boats Tritons, but the one I'm talking about is a reverse three pointer that came into being around the same time as the slotted vee bottoms or tunnel vees that are used in the mod vp class. It was a very long very narrow padded vee with rear sponsons dopping down from the shear line about half way back. I remember seeing in Powerboat Mag that some were entered in offshore races. Anybody know how these boats performed and whatever hapened to them?

English lady boat racer, Lady Arran, had the first one. Designed and built by an English chap, It LOOKED like a good idea. After a season of racing it, Lady A. invited everyone to her estate for a 'boat burning'. She didn't want anyone else to have to drive it...

They were imported to the US by the the guy that imports Recaro seats. Can't think of his name. Come to think of it, I can't remember a lot of things....
