Volvo 280 trim?

I'm not familiar with volvo drives so this may be a dumb question. I know the 280 drive comes in a version with trim, the 280T. Can power trim be added to an existing non-trim 280 drive ?

Unless you can find a good used unit to get the parts from, your best bet would be to upgrade to a good used 290 drive. 280T drives are few and far between, and to buy all the part new would be way too expensive. You'll see deals on 290s on eBay from time to time.

back in the late 70's early 80's,the old offshore racers use to retro fit the power tilt and trim assemblys off of a o,b motor on the 280 and the 250 speedmaster volvo drives...
