This wknd is Thunder on the Gulf, one of the largest powerboat races in the Southern U.S. It is held in Orange Beach, AL.
Several of us are going down- it usually brings in 10-12,000 people and hundreds of boats to spectate. This is pretty much "us locals" only chance to see 50-60 Cigs, Magnums, Skaters, Donzis and Formulas all hanging around one area.
If anyone might be attending, call me, 251-716-3531. I also have rented a place on the beach with some room to lay your head, if you need a place. We are bringing down a couple 18's and a Formula 17.
