I'm thinking it's been two years since I've added to the stable. I'm thinking of getting some little waterbug with outboard power. I'd really like to get a 16 OB, but they are few and far between.

All the boats are running fine. Some people collect stamps, I collect boats. :)

How 'bout a 16 jet? It's in your neck of the woods, too!

That looks interesting. Looks mighty rough, wrong interior.

What about a little Checkmate? Which is considered a better made boat, Checkmate, or Hydrostream?

Scott, I think that's the one that was for sale up in Jax about 4 years ago. It was available for about 6500 then. Besides the fact that I don't fit in a 16, I didn't like the butchered rear seat area.

Yes, that's about what I want.

I've got my buddy going to look at that little Checkmate for me today. It's already had everything done to it, just gas and go.

just add water. Bob's 5-1 Jackplate, blueprinted hull, Merc 90, Hyd steering, 2 batteries on switch, Gaffrig gauges, completely restored in 2002, new alum trailer 2002, garage kept....garage is full, so its gotta go.

The restore was very thorough. This boat is better than new. You would have to see it in person. I have had more people think it is brand new than restored. As for speeds, the best I got was 68 GPS, current set up runs about 55. If someone really wanted to fly, an inline 6 would make this boat scary fast. The most amazing thing about the boat is after I had the hull blue printed it does not even chine walk at any speed.

Trailer is a 2002. Motor is a 1993 powerhead and 1999 everything else. It is in great shape.
