25% tax on Internet Porn

I'm moving to Michigan. It must be nice to live in a state that has so few problems that their state Sen. Debbie Stabenow can focus her attention on taxing adults 25% for their recurring Internet Porn fees. Supposedly this is supposed to help reduce the access of porn to children, much the same way that taxing vacuum cleaners will reduce alcoholism.

This is just the begining. There are many states that would like to tax every online purchase. Even used items found on ebay and classifieds. They just think they can capitalize on growing opposition to internet pornography to get the taxes rolling.

Taxing all online purchases would at least be a fair and equitable way to raise revenues. Selecting one industry and a 25% tax rate is rediculous.
