Hi!

Need some advice here.. I am interested placing 2x Volvo Penta´s new 6-cylinder D6-310 into ZX28. But not quite sure would these engines fit there physically?

What kind of feelings this brings to your mind? Am i out of my mind or :boat:

Here is the facts about the engine:

Here in short:

Volvo Penta´s new 6-cylinder D6-310 is developed from the latest design in modern diesel technology.

The engine has common rail fuel injection system, double overhead camshafts, 4 valves per cylinder, turbocharger and after cooler. Together with a large swept volume and the ECV system (Electronic Vessel Control) this results in world-class diesel performance, combined with low emissions.

The D6-310/DPR is suitable for both single and twin-engine installation in speed above 45 knots, all the way up to 60+.

Looking forward hearing your toughts.. Thanks in advance!

I know a guy with a Spectre cat that put diesels in it. Even with a two speed transmission, he ran out of available props due to the low rpm they turn. It did get incredible fuel mileage. Btw, he ran out of prop at about 100 mph. :)
