A couple of weeks ago I noticed my oil pan is leaking some oil around the rusted drain plug and since I have to pull the motor to fix it, and it has 350hrs. I would like to rebuild or replace it. Can anyone suggest a reputable mechanic in southeast Michigan ?

On eBay, there's a seller called MichiganMotorz, who offers new and used Chevy marine products. I've bought a few components from them and been satisfied. They have a good feedback rating, and their prices seem reasonable.

Engines in Michigan . . .

mmmmmmm let me think real hard . . . . mmmmmmmm

Isn't this the home of American made engines??? , Detroit , . :jestera: . . . . ;)

there's GM, I hear thye're havin a yaad sale these days, buy one get one free . or sometin like dat :lifeprese :lifeprese

Then there's Ford, yup, a Fix Or Repair Daily, but hey they got Volvos don't they ???? :sweden: Volvos, they're only good in snow country and we're aimin to fix a boat . . not a sno-go-mobile!

Then there's Mercedes Benz . . .What . . Yup, them Germans :germany: came over stole all of Chrysler's sheckles and they be sellin Mopar now . . .

Yah I think you better call Mr. James Roots. Sounds like a Good Ole American Boy! :ribbon:

Bill,

Endorsing Rootsy is a good bet, but what about Tyler? Too Hi-Po.

-------Tyler is obviously competent, and a good guy, but getting into his production line might take longer than another builder who can do as good a job. Over the last few years of knowing Jamie and seeing some of the stuff he has done I really think he would be a great choice both on expertise and monatarily as well. Rootsie hasnt had as many magazine articles as Tyler. Get my drift?.........Bill S
