I was just farting around in the garage, kinda cleaning, kinda thinking, when my eye spotted the Bravo I prop I have (22p 4 blade), anyway, the ONLY time I ran it (spun hub), there was a point where it felt like I took off like a rocket ship. I have no idea what actual speed or RPM's were, but my question is this,...

is there a point where with the lift from a prop, and speed that a hull will break it's "suction" from the water and take off, or am I just imagining something?

Thanks
Wayne

:wavey: Wayne...not to be obvious ... but I call that getting on plane? I know when I get over 75 mph... which is rare....due to water conditions and life insurance restrictions...for Doctors. I feel the Hull Lift and unweight... I am sure its exactly what it felt like in the split second ya shot like a rocket right up til ya spun the hub or whatever...must be a Regazza kinda Feeling...

I like the name Regazza...it's sorta like in the 3rd Godfather Movie... Johnny Zazah? :wavey:

yo Doc not to be an ahole but it was JOEY ZAZA, baddabing baddaboom,

I too ponder the point at which our waterly bonds are broken and the point where our hulls break their earthly ties and soar heaven ward in the garage too , usually after I find I left the cap off the can of benzene and acetone
:boggled: :cartman:

I believe the expierence you are after Wayne is somewhere between a v hull planing and getting on the top and the feeling of a tunnel hull getting the air packed in just right and floating along ;)

and remember todays safety tip always work in well ventilated areas when using recreational cleaning agents :rlol:

:wavey: Yo Highjack Toxic Fume Boy! heaven ward , is this a "Ward In Heaven" or are you trying to say Heavenly or Toward Heaven, as in Air 22 is ...? OK so its Joey ZaZA...its still a reasonably cool name for Mafia Scum!

:D .. Remember Predicates and Adverbs, and Hyper Ventilation and Suppossitories...always should be used in a well ventilated area...especially after a TRip to Taco Bell.

OK, No, it's not getting on plane, that seems to happen at about 23-28 mph, this I was about (guessing) 45 or so, hit the throttle, was climbing, then all of a sudden, like a rocket. I was thinking, it was kinda choppy, and it may have been possible that I got enough air under it long enough to release it from the water suction / resistance and rocket for a sec.

Just remember, Scarface was from Cuba, and lived in Florida!!
