28 donzi sportsman/blackfin 29

Can anyone tell me if the 28 donzi sportsman rides as well as a 29 blackfin combi?I see that they are both deep v,s and have similar beams. I am looking at they way the engines are placed, the donzi toward the rear, the blackfin more centered.Anyone out there ride on both?

------Yes, have been in both but with many years inbetween. I would say that the DONZI Sportsman rides better at a faster clip while the Blackfin rides a bit better at a slower, cruising speed. A lot would depend as you say on final weight and weight placement. Interesting question as the Blackfin is quite a boat!........Bill S

Bill's right! The Blackfin is built VERY heavy, takes a lot of HP. But it's a wave crusher for sure. Beautiful boats, I sure miss mine!
