2 bbl conversion

I am looking into changing my current config on my 4.3L carb (2bbl to 4bbl). I have looked at the Edelbrock performer intake/carb (500cfm) combo (high rise) anyone know if I will have a problem stuffing this package under the rear hatch of a Classic 16?

If anyone has done this conversion, whats the impact on performance/reliablity?

No sweat it will fit, if you want I have a Holley 500 with 216 hours of strictly fresh water use I will part with cheap.
