If anyone is looking for replacement motors I have an excellent source. They are COMPLETE Volvo Penta motors with about 20-30 hours on them. They can easily be converted to a Mercruiser system by just swapping the bell housing, coupler and motor mounts.
I can get the 280hp and 320hp 350s and the 375hp and 420hp 496s. PM me if you are interested.

Here are some prices:
5.7 Gi(280pshp)-$5000
5.7 GXi(320pshp)-$5200
8.1 Gi(375pshp)-$6000

Are they the ones from Michigan Motorz?

No, as fas as I know Michigan Motorz builds their own marine motors off the Vortec base. These are factory Volvo Penta motors.

And remember these motors are 100% complete. Everything is there. Even the power steering lines! I pulled my motor and had a 5.7 GXi in and running in less than 4 hours!
Pretty good deal on the small blocks and a great deal on the big blocks!
Are the 320 horse 350's or 6.2's?

Are you running a Merc drive in it?
Is this a one time type of thing - I need a motor, but not untill april or may 2006. I'm assuming that you are running a blackhawk drive with your 5.7, but do you also have a line on volvo drives?

No, I am running a Volvo SX drive. To run a merc drive all you need to do is swap out the engine coupler and the bell housing.

No my blackhawk is gone. And it's not a one time thing. I can get whatever he happens to have. And yes I can get Volvo drives as well.

-----Boy!!! Those are seriously good prices. Ill bet Volvo doesnt put the wrong roller-lifters in thier motors either!!!!
-----I just had an odd thought. Not unusual, but I digress. Did this part of Volvo stay with the truck division when Ford bought the car division or is a division of Ford now building high-performance GM boat motors? I suspect I know the answer, but the scenario would be weird. As a third option maybe the marine division is completly seperate from both???..........Bill S
