At 460 feet long it has certainly caused some major damage. Just in time for the long weekend too

I can just see the line-ups now

Sounds like the Captain did a pretty good job with a pretty bad deal. Sounding warnings, dropping anchors, etc etc.. Yikes. Can you imagine the feeling of loosing engine controll of that beast at such a moment. Oh Sh-- Doesent even come close............

About 30 of those boat owners are probably wondering if "It'll buff out", right about now.

Hope no one was injured. Last year the Staten Island ferry crashed into it's dock, killing 11. I also remember a cruise ship hitting a shopping pier in New Orleans...lots of damage there too....it takes a lot to stop these things when they are drifting.

They showed it on our stations last night and again with live footage of it sliding into the marina this morning, thankfully the water got shallow and it grounded or it could have been a lot worse.

When I saw that on the news last night Lenny was the first person to come to mind ... I thought "well I bet he gets the good coverage on this !"

With my luck I just can't figure out why my boat was'nt there with the others :biggrin.:
