"which" 454 is best???

several weeks ago, someone was kind enough to elaborate on the different 454's. (which year was best, which had which crank, which heads, which one was "buildable", and which was not, etc, etc) The info was truely a "keeper". now i cant find it!!!!
I still have a wide variety of boats and years of boats I'm considering, and sure wish I had copied the 454 info previously provided.

Please, if the original author, or if anyone else would like to elaborate on the different 454's over the years, best crank, heads, most buildable etc,...please do so. email me or post here glriley@pacbell.net
