Post Pics...and we could offer a suggested Range...I'm not getting into the whole Subjective vs Objective Valuation BS from one of our earlier topics.

If the buyer is financing, the lender will want a published value range. My lender loans up to 100% of the NADA guide value.

Not me. That's a 20 y.o. boat. If some one offers him $15-17K and he says no, he's a fool.

Just my 2 cents.

Another example: That beautiful teal 22 that's for sale in Howell, Michigan. It's got way more goodies, it's an '89 or so (sorry, I forget) and it's at $22.5K. That's one hell of a boat, but the buyer profile for that boat leans toward someone who is financing. The book value just doesn't support it.

I know, the boat you are spec'ing is a stocker (as opposed to nicely modded), but my point still fits. If Joe Sixpack can't get the money from his Credit Union, it's overpriced.

Up to 4 cents.

Damn boat sodas. Too many and it's not even 9 pm. Still, if a guy with good credit can't finance the thing, it's too much money.

Why don't you go ahead and post "your friend's boats" for sale in the classifieds and see what kind of offers it brings in the open market?

NADA and BUC are only reference and starting points.

Prime season to bring top dollars, I would think.

A fresh water boat would bring more money. After a while the NADA book is worthless. Its what the market will bear.

my neighbor took the 22classic to the chris craft dealer in chicago and after getting them 6000 off the price they offered him 21000 for his boat

Beautiful boat, and they probably gave him exactly what his Donzi was worth, they took a boat in on trade, showed him a reduced price of $6K and gave him $28K off sticker. There are a couple of Marinas offering $10K off the list of a 2005 Launch so that puts it right in the range.

That is one sweet boat.
