Just installed the Bravo drive, setting up the shift linkage
NOTE: Engine not running

It shifts into fwd fine, but I can't get it to shift into reverse

does this drive NEED to be turning to do this??

Mario they say never shift a Bravo without the engine turning.

Mario...

Yes.. the drive needs to be running... the drive does not shift easily without the cone clutch spinning. You will bend the shift tab in the upper casing... if you haven't already.....

thanks guys!

Fortunately I was doing this carefully so I'm sure nothing was damaged. I did start it up and run it and then it shifts fine.

So off to the pond on Sunday. Wish it were Saturday, but we need to go to a wedding . . not even someone I know or will likely see again . . . ARRRGH

Woodsy,
I'll launch from Wolfeboro and run out to the island. If all runs well maybe I'll venture towards the Weirs . . do you have a boat now?

Mario...

The Outboard is still in wraps. I haven't sold it yet. I will have Pistol Pete's 22ZX to run around in....

Anybody want to buy that outboard cheap? Princess doesn't like it.....
