And his boat, an x-18 is called Mighty Mouse, I believe!....I think he may be faster now, but this is the thread where he went 104. :hyper::hyper::hyper:

Went 115 just the other day over hear on the Great South Bay of Long Island. He blew the minds of the gathered boaters who were there to do some radared speed runs of the S.O.B. group. They are the single outboard boats that are fast rough water boats. Mostly Superboats, Progressions, etc. I think the fastest S.O.B. was just over 100mph. Not bad in a 21' intimidator (similar to 21 challenger, superboat) with a 300x outboard. To see George at 115 was unbelievable!

if you go to the arneson website there are some great photos of his 18' classic w/ the drive on it. http://arneson-industries.com/index.shtmli just went 73 mph monday(first boat so i have been easing into it) and i can't imagine what that would be like. might have to get an arneson in the next couple years. what is going to be my max speed w/ a 496 ho.

thanks

Steve, a couple more than that, probably 76-77. (GPS) and you'll need a foot or so of chop.

Isn't that an oxymoron? :D

Steves stock 300HP 18 does 77 all day long with the held of the BH egg beater, with a good bump stick he would be in the low to mid 80's. And it handle like a dream in all conditions, I ran with him at the first 1K he ate up 3-4' chop.
