A few more. It was raining when we arrived, George and I got there about the same time to meet the Staples boys, who were already esconced in the Holiday Inn. We went to breakfast and waited for the weather to clear, which it did. :)

Back to the motel after breakfast. This is a crazy crew. I'm not sure George and Elaine knew what they were getting in to. :)

I'd say the river was a tad high. There's another section of dock as long as the one you can see that is completely under water. It made getting in the boat interesting.

We were in the water and away pretty quickly. Nobody had any troubles starting.

Under way.

Heading up a spring run. Debbie said this spring is called Sun Spring. She took a scuba test there years ago. With the river so high, the springs are covered with dark river water.

We continued north to Rock Bluff Springs. Note that the water is still seven feet over normal, and look on the trees how high it was earlier this year.

We had good weather all day, until we were about a mile from the ramp. It got real dark, and Debbie said, "This is cool". I told her it was about to get REAL damn cool here in a minute. The skies opened up. It was raining so hard, I couldn't see anything. I was just hoping George could see enough behind me not to hit us. We drug out the cockpit cover and tried to get it wrapped around us. It was useless. Debbie and I sat there under the cover laughing like idiots! You gotta luv it! :biggrin.:

Hey, it may not have been the Dustoff, but we had a great time. I think it's a lot easier to have a run with just four or five boats. The logistics are easier, less people to have to agree on where and when to go, and most of all, less chance for someone to break down. :cool!:

I happy to report that Fishboy didn't have to break out the starched tow line to push Budman with today. :biggrin.:

Soggy is right!! :shocking: :shocking:
Everything is soggy!
I just took the boat back to its warehouse, took the upholstery out and laid it out on the deck to dry.
We had a good time and we want to go again when the river is down, and there's not 40' logs floating around.

Come on now George ... 40' logs, I'll bet there aren't any 40' trees left in Florida .... :D

George, go to http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx

download the image resizer program, then download your other pictures. I know you have more. :)

With the program, all you have to do is right click to resize the pics. Real fast and easy.

Actually Joe, I bought Elaine a new camera, and this was her first time out with it. The only other pics she took were of real estate on the river. A friend asked her to do that.
So far, taking pictures of boats isn't her favorite thing to do!!! :jestera:
Thanks for the tip.
