Hmmmm. Hydrofoam. Appears to be:


A low density water and semi-air restrictive urethane. This material was developed as a much lower cost alternative to EPDM and Vinyl Nitrile Foams where condensation or air-borne water are a concern. Typical applications are HVAC damper-door, tail lamp and firewall duct seals. Under standard sealing conditions (50% Compression) this material will hold 1"-2" of water without penetration

Starts out as a liquid. Molding that thing would be quicker than whittling it :jestera: .
