Many years ago I bought a prop at a flea market because it looked like a good door stop. I've been curious as to what it went to. Appears to have never been used.

Particulars.

Material : Bronze
Blades: Three
Design: Hubbed Thru Exhaust.
Diameter : 11 1/4
Pitch: Best Guess. 17
manufacture: Some hand finish work.
Splines: 12
Shaft Hole Size: 7/8 Inch Dia.
Markings: Pat. Pend., Michigan, SMC 780, One of the blades has "SMC 782"

I looked around on the web, can't seem to find anything.

Thanks.

Owen,
I would suggest taking a pic and posting it in the outboard and racing history section of scream and fly- seldom do I see a question about an older part not get an answer from someone there. The other suggestion is posting it at Ron Hill's boat racing facts forum Ron Hills (http://www.boatracingfacts.com/). ROn is one of the most well known propeller guru's over the past 40 years. Is it spun on a boat he probably knows it.
