What about the BOAT?! You gotta bring the BOAT!

SODA!! What about the "BOAT-SODA?!!

Man, are you lucky I'm around. That "boat-soda" is like liquid gold in that county.

Seriously though for all, don't forget a few "basic" consumable parts for the boat that a marina may not have for your application or a marina that does, is far away or CLOSED! I'm talkin' thermostat, impeller, fuel/water separator filter, small piece of copper pipe and small clamps for splicing an oil line if one bursts (had it happen), bulbs for bow/stern lights, FUZES!!, fan belts, SPOT LIGHT (lakes are dark and confusing at night) and lots and lots of electric tape. Remember, it's the small or common things that will get ya when you least expect it or as Murphy puts it, "...at the worst possible moment" i.e. AOTH weekend... http://www.donzi.net/ubb/cool.gif

I've got an item that you all seem to have overlooked. This is just a common courtesy thing that I would do for anyone. MONEY to help that friend giving you that wonderful ride in a larger, faster, or even model you've never had the pleasure of riding in, fuel bill. On my ride list = 16' Classic, 22' Classic, Z and ZX all sizes, definitely the 70 plus mph gang, Donzi with a V-Drive, Corsican, GT, Minx, Hornet, Criterion, X-18, have I left any out? http://www.donzi.net/ubb/biggrin.gif

Sounds like we should have asked Snap On to sponsor the AOTH along with Sand Dollar. I broke a spring on a Myco tandem trailer while we there last year, so I know the pain of not having the right parts. ScottB, what do you think about asking Sand Dollar to bring down an emergency stash of common breakables? I'm sure nobody is going to run their beasts that hard, but just in case....

Don't forget the trash bags! Nothing worse than cans and crap rolling around the floor. Makes you look like a freakin slob too.

Done that way too many times.

Nothing beats a full size Van. Ya can take it All with ya. Retired the '74 Ford Super Van (MOBY DICK) after eight cross country trips and now working on the second crossing with the '95 Chevy G30 cargo Van 454 (GILD NAVIGATOR).
