through hull exhaust

I currently have a 5.0L in my 16 with through the prop exhaust

1) would there be any major benefits to going to through hull exhaust (besides of course how much cooler it would sound).

2) is there a reasonable silent choice kit out there

any thoughts as to if this would be a good idea or not.

Do you really need another reason? You should see people's eyes light up when I flick the switch from thru prop to thru hull. Priceless.
