We put in at Deland, and ran north. There was a ton of idle zone going that way. Of the first hour, fifty minutes were at idle speed.

Here's my crew. :)

The first idle zone starts just before Hontoon Island State Park, and extends beyon Lake Beresford. The idle zone doesn't include the lake itself, but the channel of the river that goes through it.

After a short run, the next zone starts just before Blue Springs State Park.

Swamp House Grill, one of our favorite places to ride the bikes to.

We stopped for fuel just before entering Lake Monroe. We saw the only other performance boat of the day. Of course it was a Donzi. :)

Entering Lake Monroe. I got a chance to open her up a bit out here. I ran it up to 4500 rpm, and it was pulling strong. I'm extremely please with the new power.

The ride back was almost uneventful. Not to worry, I signed it S. Baxter. :hyper:

There was a guy up from Oso that we were trying to meet up with. They were already down to Astor when we got on the water, so we missed them. Just as we were pulling away from the park, they came past us.

ROFLMAO...

A signature they are quite familiar with :D :D

I thought so when he said, "Mr Baxter, would you like to put this on your account. :) "

Joe, I can't read it, so what was it for?

It was for running on a plane in an idle zone.
He only wrote me a warning.

I knew the grouper trooper was behind me. We were in an idle zone, and I had already passed him without incident. I came to a different sign that said Slow Speed, and not Idle Speed, so I assumed I could get on a plane. As soon as I got up, Deb said he was coming. I explained to him what I thought the sign meant. I think if he hadn't already seen me idling a long ways, he'd have ticketed me. I had one earlier call me from the back with his speaker and tell me to slow down. I was idling at 900 rpm when he yelled at me.
