After a few days at AOTH in Kentucky my new Black Powder Coated Trim Tabs have started to loose their powdercoating. It could have been the floating steel wheel and tire that removed the finish. The problem that I have is that I mounted the tabs with 5200 so they are not going to come off the boat easily. Can I use Paint Stripper to remove the baked on powdercoat? Do I need to stay away from the gel on the transom? Most powdercoaters burn off their mistakes, but I do not believe that this is a good option for me.

Help,

DonCig

Don, I have a pair of NEW (never used) ST-9's (Sport Tab Bennetts if you are interested in 'em. I bought them for the GT from Poodle, but,...sold the GT

These are JUST the tab part, no ram. I paid $200-ish for them. $150 and they are yours plus shipping. Interested?

Bolt on...

Mine are single ram... 9 x 12
