On another site...they are offering some replacement tabs for like 900US. These tabs are Billett bolt ons to replace your shorty K-Planes..Available in 24" or 30"
My question is, are the 24"s adequate or should a guy throw on 30" Tabs..I realize if one was to have Mayfair stteering it could be a factor but maybe the 30's are the ticket..:wrench:

I gave serious consideration to bigger tabs. But, my concern way "tripping" the boat in rough water and stuffing the nose. Save the $900 and put it toward FULL hydraulic steering. That's my $.02.

Mike, the 280's (lower portion) bolt right up to what you have on there. I wouldn't go a full billet replacement and start filling holes and such

Remember, the best Idea so far is the little switches on the wheel ;)

Lenny the set he is talking about are the ones on www.speedwake.com they look pretty sweet and are a direct replacement for K plane tabs. You keep the backing plate and ram just replace the tab itself....

The 30" ones are probably overkill. 24" set would look sweet....2 color fade....

The link I posted does actually work but it appears the site is down at this moment. (Fri @ 10:40 Am)

Mike, do you have 280s now or still the 150s? Can't tell from your pic.

I would definitely put some 280s on! That really helps a blackhawk in the slop. Either K-planes or the billets. I would personally get the K-planes and save the money for FULL external steering. Blackhawks really need external steering. I think I picked up my 280 bottom plates for $200.
