1996 22 classic?

Im looking to maybe purchase a 1996 22 classic. What all should I look out for the one I have in mind is a 454 MAG EFI MP with 85 hours. Fresh water. What do you guys think I should look for and what do you think is a good price. I appreciate your time guys.. Thanks.

I bought my 1996 22 classic about 2-3 years ago. I can think of no unique problems to watch out for. I have one leaky trim tab tube, out of that crazy four tube system, thats about it. A small bargaining chip. Otherwise look for standard stuff, signs of abuse, corrosion, hows the drive look, straight prop shaft, is the steering still tight, water in the oil, corrosion on the engine, etc. You'll need a new battery (every used boat does) and maybe a new stereo if no CD. Enjoy it, it is a great boat. Low $20s if mint with a good trailer.
