Shift Boot Replacement

The Shift Boot On My 22 Classic Bravo 1 Is Split Is There A Easy Way Or Not To Replace It ? I Bought A Book On The Bravo 1 . Should I Remove The Outdrive ? Do I Need Any Special (mercruiser) Tools ? Any Advise Would Be Appreciated .
