I just bought a new engine for my Donzi F18 CC, a Merc Optimax 200hp Saltwater, but there were no prop included.... So, do you guys have any ideas what kind of prop would work?

Thanks, Patrik

I would try to borrow a 21" pitch you may have to go to a 23" it depends on top RPM it must fall into spec range.

I went for a 19" and it seem to be pretty good.. It jumps up and it dosn't matter if you are alone or 4 people in the boat! At 5500 RPM it goes in 45 knots. I thougt it would go a little bit faster than that, but I cant get everything. So I'm happy... :-)

Attached you can see the new engine.. pretty big! (picture taken with my mobile...)

I believe close to 50 Gals.. Did you have a VRO? If so, disconect the VRO pump and mix oil directly in the tank..

19 seems a bit low, but then again I do not know which prop you used..??
Doesnt that engine have a rv limiter?? If so, and it's right on it, you should try a 21 or even a 23 on it... Rigged an 18 SeaCraft with a 225 Yammie many moons ago, we ended up with a 25 on it....

This thread is old... I sold my F-18 almost a year ago.. I think I changed to a 21" Mirage...
