I hope it's okay to post this here? I listed my motor on ebay. This would make a nice upgrade for a someone with a 16 or 18 with a 4.3 or a tired motor.

$2500 start with NO RESERVE.. .. thats one way to get around Ebays rediculous fees! A $2500 start is what i call a reserve/.. I am doing the same thing on a 93 600 SEC I am selling.... It keeps the wannabe's and dreamers from wasting your time.

Good on ya!

Exactly! It's taken me a long time to learn this but I finally figured it out. Get right to the serious buyers. Unfortunately my motor is not showing up in searches and by the time ebay gets back with me my auction will be over! :(

Blackhawk, I'm considering a crazy project, and am not that familiar with Volvo stuff. Would you happen to know how "tall" the engine is from the bottom of the oil pan to whatever is the tallest part of the engine? Don't make a special trip to measure for me, but if you happen to know....

I just had one of the Crusader 270 hp engines from our 31 express rebuilt (bored 20 over, new pistons, rings, bearings, line bored, crank ground, new cam and gears (spins backwards), valve job, water pump, raw water impeller, cap, wires, plugs, filters) at NAPA here in Grand Rapids. Cost $2,246.79. Your engine sounds like a GREAT DEAL!

According to Volvo it's 31 7/8" tall from bottom of the oil pan to the top of the engine cover.
