View Full Version : Triple Hatch Hinge Needed

Due to an unfortunate incident :banghead: I find myself looking for a hatch hinge like the one pictured for my '66 18 triple hatch. It is a plated brass strap hinge about 4" long and 1-1/8" wide. WM has one that looks a lot like it but it is stainless and I would like to stay as original as I can. (Besides I can just imagine what the hatch and deck would look like had the hinge been any stronger.) :splat:

If anybody has one (or more) they might want to part with or know where I can get one please let me know.

Thanks,
Frank

Try Taco Marine (http://tacomarine.com), all sorts of marine hardware, including rub rail.

Thanks Jamie. I was going to call you if I couldn't find one. I figured you would have them. Do you know if it is the correct one or a modern replacement?

I would like to find a used one to match the age and condition of the boat if I can. Somebody must have one kicking around... If I give the boat something too new and shiney it will just want more.

Thanks,
Frank

I'd really rather find an old one (if I can) for authenticity. These were quite common on I/O engine covers in the '70s as I recall. Somebody must have one kicking around.

Thanks,
Frank

Maybe these will hold you until you can get what you want.

Frank I finally got out and checked a place that has tons of old boat hardware he has some, he has some that look un used old ones in brass. they would have to be chromed but then you would have some beauties.

Thanks Phil. I wish we had places like that around here. Does he have any old ones that ARE plated? Mine are NOT flat on the back but hollow sort of like the Korean ones. They are not the same ones tho. The holes don't have the same spacing either. I'll post a picture of the back tomorrow.

Someone around here said "If you don't have anything nice to say...."

Frank I was with people could not look really well, I will try to get back out there this week and do some measuring to settle the size issue. I did not see any that were plated but will look harder.
