After 2 outings and much careful thought I have decided to keep my boat. I have found another way to purchase the property I wanted so I do not need to sell it anymore. You guys are all right! It is a sickness! If I sell it i am going to wake up the next day and say " what in the hell did I just do?????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" IT IS NOT FOR SALE ANY LONGER.

like someone said here before,
"this is a crackhouse for alcoholics with a boating problem"
some of these people have 3 or 4 boats. i might end up the same way. they're like guns, you never sell a gun. never sell a donzi.

Thanks for all your support guys this convinces me even more to never get rid of the boat. Roadtrip definitely would have made a mistake selling that boat. It is in a class of its own. Bad a.. boat Roadtrip definitely keep that one on your hands.

Thanks,

You should shrink you picture size between 60kb to 90kb. 500kb + is too large and takes forever to open.

Hey guys - I have a T1 connection - very fast. Any transmitting of pictures over the Internet should be 60kb - under 100kb. You get the same picture quality but much faster. Consider this your computer tip for the day. :computer:

That's the problem when you need to sell." no takers".:splat:
The other is fuel cost are ruining the economy people are prioritizing. it is more important to heat ther homes in the winter and put fuel in their cars> then to buy a gas guzling super boat.:bawling: You need to work around the sale of your boat.
what i see is going to happen is you are going to keep droping the price and then some one will steal out from underneath you.You will then kick your self for not only selling the beloved 18 but for selling it so cheap.your boat is a as we say here in the north "Wicked Pissa";) .don't piss it away because of frustration from needing to sell it for something else that you want or need.:banghead:

Joseph,

Thank you for your nice comments. I agree with you entirely and I am fortunate enough that I do not NEED to sell the boat. My financial position will allow me to keep it. I will drop the price no further. I meant that the current price was cheap. Maybe this painfully slow selling process will eventually motivate me to keep it. Who knows? But for now Im sitting on it and waiting for someone to buy it and take as good care of it as I did.

Thanks,
Ed

Maybe if you really don't need to sell it you should take the "Must go!!!!!" out of the title. Late model boats are hard to sell without taking a big loss, especially private sale, but give it to a broker and you have to pay 10%, they may be able to get more for it but you just end up giving it back to them. This time of year is no help either, no buyer is looking to pay top dollar or even fair prices now, the fuel situation makes it even worse. If you can it is definetly better to keep it a couple more years when it is easier to take the loss.

Good idea MAC, did as you suggested. Maybe the title was giving off the wrong idea.

18 the problem is that it is easier for a buyer to go to a dealer or boat show and get financed for a new boat than it is to pay cash or get financed for your used boat.

I have been through it with the last few whalers I have sold.

Regards Bob

PS I agree with you on the yellow 22 aniversary edition what a boat.

The rocker molding(s) trim don't have a thing to do with the engine option, I don't believe... that's a trim option... notice the HEMI insignia not on the rear fender of this 61 original mile documented car, even though it does have the rocker molding...
