Now that i'm up and running.
Are there any simple mods for outboard yams 200's to get a few more ponies???
That is apart from changing the prop pitch etc.
thanks
scott
Yes but as with any engine it takes $$$ and the avilabilty of parts, out boards I feel are a bit harder than I/O's. Many years back I spent a ton on a 65hp Merc for about a 3 mph gain it was hardly worth it, It would have been easier/cheaper to go to a bigger engine. I am not sure what is out there for the Yami's, I would for starters go to their site and see what tech support can tell you.

Yami isn't really known as a "performance" outboard but there is still a ton of stuff you can do. Port/polish, headwork, advancing timing, lighter flywheel, re-routing exhaust, etc, etc. Depends on what you want to spend and how far you want to push the envelope.
Check out screamandfly.com, lots of outboard guys there.
