Volvo question

Does anyone in Illinois / Wisconsin know of a good Volvo shop? I need to have my 290's resealed. I have checked with all the local shops and mine are too old. Is this a job I could do myself? Thanks

Sorry, this shop is not in your area, but Sayre Brothers on Buckeye Lake just East of Columbus Ohio rebuilt the 250 I had on my 18' Classic after the second year I owned the boat I blew the top gears towing a very big guy on a water tube.

I owned that boat for 13 years after the rebuild with out another drive problem and as far as I know, it's still going strong up in Michigan. The shop used to do all the local Volvo Chris Craft work. I know the shop is still on the lake, but I'm not sure if they are still doing Volvo work. I believe the son took over the buisness after the father passed away.
