Okay, I got to know. What is it with all of the negativity towards offshore-style boats on Lake George and Winni? Obtrusive and hard-to-enforce, noise and speed laws seem to be in effect or in proposal form at both places.
1000 Islands has some of the same stuff on the books, but there's plenty of room to run and nobody seems to bother us small guys.
At the prodding of many of you here, I am booking in for both places this summer. Frankly, I really don't want to be hassled by zealots carrying barney badges and a single bullet in the chamber.
So what's going on and how did it get that way? I'd like to know.
P.S. If a Bandit can make a couple of where-to-stay recomendations, we would appreciate it!
