What are our favorite "car-chase" scenes? Mine: Bullitt, French Connection

And if they made a re-make of the movie you like, who wold play the parts today?

Bullet - Impossible to replace Steve McQueen - maybe Tom Cruise - hmmmm?

French Connection - George Clooney - (another tough one to call)

I would add the 7ups great scene running up the west side of Manhattan
the original had Roy Schieder might be a good Tom Cruise role

The opening scene in The Road Warrior, the second of the Mad Max Series, with Mel Gibson at the wheel of a "blown" ford Police car being chased by some outback outlaws.

Can't wait for the forth movie to be released.

I like Bullet,

I also like the scene in the latest "Gone in 60 seconds" with elenor the mustang.

"Bullet" was my all time favorite. How about "The Blues Brothers"? Driving through a shopping mall, now that would be my idea of a good time!

I don't really like remakes... There's only one Steve McQueen! He was quite a dirt bike rider. Did his own stunts in "The Great Escape". Check out "On Any Sunday" my favorite motorcycle movie. It was done by Bruce Brown the same guy who did the surfing movies like "Endless Summer. I saw it when I was a kid and have been hooked on dirt bikes ever since (sorry... off topic) :)

Definetly one of the best, not really sure if this qualifies but the chase scene in T2 when Arold and the kid are on the fat boy being chased by the semi. I could watch it 100 times.

The long chase scene from Bad Boys II, it even has a Donzi, even though it is spinning down the freeway ...... :eek:
