Deb and I missed the lunch, but made it down to Lakeside to see everyone and the boats.

The pics are great, and it looks like everyone is having a great time, but come on..... I wore fewer clothes today when I washed my truck than you guys have on boating. :D :D

It was freaking cold here last night and this morning. It was 36 last night here in Deland, which I'm sure is a record. Last year Debbie first swam in the gulf on March 9th, the year before it was March 10th.

Fishboy, who is staying with us this weekend, took a bunch of pics today too, but I don't have a reader for his disc, otherwise I would have posted them too.

This was a pretty cool Wood boat, it was called a Chris-Craft Sport-Racer, I thought the long deck and more rear seating was different. The second one a big wood cruiser....the wood boats are truely beautiful....

You know a boats annoying load when Madpoodle thinks it annoying loud...not only that, but the town recieved three 911 calls when it was running at 7:30 in the morning! :eek!: He was grounded the rest of the event.

Cliff, Bertram Boy, this is for you...a 1967 20' Bertram....caught my eye I thought it was a Hornet :p

This is a picture of me and Elaine, taken by Gina Collins, on the river trip on Friday. Gosh it was cold. Just before we left, Elaine went down the street to the Dollar Store and bought herself some socks, knitted gloves, and these hats. Notice the "Minnie Pearl" tags still on them?

Annoyingly loud???? I want that stacker (used to call the "stingers" when my dad raced) on a stand in my living room. Man, I fell in love when I saw that bad boy, that has to be the cleanest one I have ever seen.

You were a perfect guest. I can't believe I didn't know both mornings that you were up. I'm a light sleeper.

Glad to hear you made it home. Did you have any truck problems?

= Did you have any truck problems?

yep, but fortunately it was raining so hard, that I just unhooked the boat, drove it to the front of the truck and towed myself home :D :rlol: Truck was pretty rough by the time I got it home, but figured out the problem and will fix it tomorrow (the other problem, not the one about being a 2lb truck pulling a 4000lb boat) ha! Anyway, thanks again, I owe you and debbie big time.

Fishboy, I really enjoyed the pictures. I won't miss next year's Mt. Dora. How beautiful. Good to hear that your boat is working and you are back in the hunt. Shell Island awaits.

Jody, don't take any following waves!!!
You can measure your transom freeboard in millimeters!

Budmann

Boat looks great!!! The engine doesn't look that high off the transom. Looks like you did a first class job rigging it.

Catch lots of fish.
