Any info on how to get the old Donzi sticker and residue/backing off easily?

Also, I have the white and black Donzi replacements, but my X18 came with gold single letters which look sharp. Any suggestions?

Use a heat gun. Basically, you heat the sticker and then peel it off. You probably will have to experiment a little to get the techique just right. I've done it this way several times. A hair dryer may work, but I've never tried it. Don't know if it is hot enough.

I use "Goof Off" to remove my expired vinyl registration stickers. It's an adhesive remover that does a good job on a variety of stickum. Comes in a yellow lighter fluid type can and is available at most hardware stores.

All of the above great tips, I will add a bit! Be a little careful with the heat gun, use it at an angle and do not get the gel coat to hot. I have been lucky but I have seen several guys bubble the gel coat. After removing the glue with what ever it is a good idea to wipe the area with Acetone to remove any residue before applying the new stickers.

If you're still looking at getting the gel buffed my guy can do the sticker replacement at the same time. Johnny at Angler Marine, 850-436-4007. Give me a call if you come over.
