I want to replace the Donzi decals, they are worn looking, on my 1989 23' Ragazza.

1. Where is the best place to get them.

2. Is this a do-it-yourself thing or should a professional do it. If it is do-it-yourself are there instructions posted somewhere.

Thanks in advance

Vince,

Check this thread started by Speed Racer. I'm not sure if Richard makes the chrome looking decals that I think were used on your boat, but if you have a picture of what you need, I'm sure someone here as reproduced the decals your looking for.

When I redid mine, I had a professional who worked at a vinal sign company to it for me. I didn't want to waste the decals and I wanted it to look like it just came off the factory line. That's not to say you can't do it yourself, but by the time you buy the squegee to get the air out from under the decal and put a couple hours in lineing up and applying the decals, I felt it was worth it to me to let someone used to working with decals do the job.

Vince,
I got me decals from TEAM859. See this thread.. http://www.donzi.net/forums/showthread.php?t=34887&highlight=decals

UPS killed the first set he sent out and he quickly sent a replacement set and dealt with the freight claim :hyper: I'm happy with the quality and service.

They go on like any decal. As long as you have a steady hand you should be fine. Clean the area first, mist some water on the hull (optional), apply the decal, press down hard with a small sqeegee and then pull the backing off. The water will give you some play time as you're getting it lined up.

Yes I do have the chrome like ones. How do you get the old ones off?

I peel decals off using heat, as in heat gun. Be VERY careful with the heat as it is HOT. This procedure is what I use on everything OTHER THAN a Donzi boat. No reason why it shouldn't work tho.
