Gene,
Thanks to your request, I just happened to find a picture of 007 thanks to another Donzi friend. Maybe a monthly change to a club members Donzi is in order. www.mwdonziclub.com (http://www.mwdonziclub.com)

That is not at ALL what I meant you little Donzi trickster you! http://www.donzi.net/ubb/wink.gif
Sure, sure, sure...show GeneD with his hatches up and a screwdriver in his hand.
Since there is no motor in my boat right now, (sold) I can not make it to your AOTH, but soon, Donzi Mavens, I will get even for the blatant Donzi abuse from the MWDC! http://www.donzi.net/ubb/rolleyes.gif

Gene, you won't need a boat to attend. I'm sure you'll have plenty of offers including from me.

I've been waiting for you to jump in at the last minute. Hookup with another FL/GA member and come join in on the fun...I'd like to hear some of those stories...(channel markers, etc.)

GeneD,
The hatches are only open to allow that fire breather some fresh air. The screwdriver is only in your hand for pointing out the finer points of the engine to some curious onlookers. The glass is always half full in my outlook of life. Never half empty. I think it's a great picture because now those of us who have not had the pleasure of meeting you can put a face to a Donzi legend. Just to let you know, I'm working to find the Donzi 007 race boat. Madpoddle thought he might have a picture stached away somewhere. If you do not want the picture on the site, just let me know. It can come off as easily as it went on. Send me a shot of 007 in motion on the lake. I love action pictures.

Sincerely;
Scott Boldt

Okay, okay, okay...but I gotta be back for the Ft. Meyers race.
Probably should hitch a ride with someone from FLA too, I'll end up with Cerebal Palsy if I take the Corvette.
Now, I know boat rides will be graciously given, but who's gonna let me drive?
Now, I have some requirements for driving, it has to be night time, and I have to be hammered.
Anyone?

Gene, I'll bring my 9' Zodiac for your Moon light cruises and I'll strap on a Lifeline jacket, Helmut and a strobe light to warn the others of the mad man in the Zodiac. You can use my docking paddle for power. GEOO http://www.donzi.net/ubb/smile.gif
or you can drive the X-18 with soda pop in the sun light...

Gene,
Try this picture. I think it's a little more what you had in mind. If you like, I'll make a larger page so when you click on it, you get a nice big view of your 007 in action. Thanks for letting us have a little fun. If you can talk them into it, bring the Zero Cavity Race Team with you.www.mwdonziclub.com (http://www.mwdonziclub.com) http://www.donzi.net/ubb/biggrin.gif

Ha!
You guys are a laugh riot!
MP...I'll call ya - as if I haven't tried lately.
GEOO,
Is your car/truck empty? Will you be bringing HornetMan?
ScotBoldt,
What you need to do is to get the MPEGS from MP with all the boats in action. The pic you showed of 007 in action is very cool, and accurate. That is the view most boats see of me, the stern that is!!!!
In the future though, all they will see is the mist I leave and a memory of ear shattering exhaust noise.
I heard a reliable rumor that there is a new Donzi 18-2+3 in Melbourne. And guess who owns it? Does anyone remember the Deerfield Beach episode of last year? Haven't heard from that guy since! Well, right now, he owns the fastest Donzi in Brevard County...but not for long!

to answer your questions, I believe it is May 17, 18, 19, and based on my scouting trip in March I would have to say it is very viewable from the water. I think if you anchor off of the north end of Ft. Myers Beach you should be golden.

I was very excited to be in FMB in March, especially when I thought the race was March 17 not May.
